No-Spend November Is Here!
November is here, which means that winter is right around the corner. Now isn’t the time to see your finances freeze up, so why not try out the whole “No-Spend November” idea?
Our team at Richard Banks & Associates knows that it might sound intimidating, but “No-Spend November” really isn’t as bad as it sounds. Besides, by the end of the month, the savings will have proven to be worth it!
The idea behind “No-Spend November” is simple: Cut out all the extras that are gnawing away at your finances day by day or week by week and only allow yourself to spend money on essential purchases — and no, that cup of coffee at Starbucks is not an essential! Essentials for “No-Spend November” consist of things like rent or mortgage payments, utilities, groceries, transportation, and other bills that must be paid. What we’re suggesting you cut out are the frivolous things like eating out, manicures, a night out with the guys at the bar, and yes, Black Friday sales.
You have the entire month of November at your disposal to see what cutting back and living frugally can really do to bolster your finances. Since the month has just begun, there is still time for you to make the decision to dive in headfirst, because you really have nothing to lose and everything to gain when it comes to saving money!
We’re not saying that following the “No-Spend November” plan is easy, as this writer points out, but in the end, being able to save up some extra cash is always worth it. You may come away with a new understanding of what you truly need to be spending your hard earned money on and discover that the things you thought you “needed” truly weren’t necessary.
If “No-Spend November” has been sprung on you a bit too late or you’re not entirely sure that it’s an idea you’d like to cash in on, give it some thought. Any month could be your “No-Spend” month, and perhaps you could even start a new trend like “Just the Essentials January!”
We hope that you are able to find a “No-Spend” month idea that works for your life and that it truly helps boost up your savings! Remember, Richard Banks & Associates is here to help if your finances are too far out of control and have you feeling hopeless. No one should be feeling hopeless about their financial situation, especially not around the start of the holiday season!
